      • The Immoralist -- The End
        11/30/07
Well this is the last of my musings on The Immoralist . I know it’s upsetting but don’t worry, I’ll be back next week with a new theme, tentatively titled Head . (Ya been warned, so start lodging yer complaints now.)

Since I made everybody suffer through bad shirts, bad haircuts and b

      • This Week in Justice
        11/29/07
Thought I'd break up the Immoralist postings this week with a little Justice. And, to mix things up, it's completely devoid of the boys in the band. Instead, here's a brief look into my psyche and perhaps a glimpse at the pulse of the world this week.

        What Makes Me Happy:<

      • The Immoralist -- Part III
        11/28/07
Here's a photo of me pretending to read the copy of The Immoralist that inspired the song The Immoralist . After seeing the comment Justice posted yesterday I now realize I should’ve actually read the book instead of pretending to read the book. If all else, I may have gotten better grades

      • The Immoralist -- Part II
        11/27/07
In continuing with my series on The Immoralist I present the song's original hand written lyrics from 1990. It's surprising this still exists, as most of the early written stuff is long gone.

The sheet is kinda worn. If you look there's a little section torn o

      • The Immoralist -- Part I
        11/26/07
I'm going to try something different this week with my postings. Instead of uploading random artifacts, I'm going to post music and images all dealing with a single theme. This week's theme is The Immoralist.

The Immoralist is a song we recorded around 1990. Back when Bo

      • Happy Thanksgiving
        11/23/07
On my favorite holiday I thought I would give thanks to music that has inspired me over the years. In no special order, these are the bands/artists that have made good times better, helped me through tough times or just still to this day make me smile when I listen to them:

      • So Happy - Four Track Recording, circa 1993
        11/20/07
Are these hot pants I'm wearing? Nope. It's just that my pants are on fire because I'm a big stinking liar.

In my posting yesterday I said that So Happy "is interesting (to me) because while it's good, we never recorded it on the four track. "

      • Bonesauce, circa 2006 | Recording Chimp Jerk Fling
        11/20/07
I've posted a lot of old BS photos lately, so I decided to post a recent pic. This shot was taken at 6ft Studios while we were recording Chimp Jerk Fling. You'll notice there's plenty of headroom between the ceiling and our bassist, which allowed him more room to rock out with his b

      • So Happy - Practice Tape Recordings, circa 1992
        11/19/07
While BS practiced alot we rarely captured the event on tape. But there were occasions when I'd bring a cheap tape and pop it into the tape recorder we had at the practice space. On most of these tapes you'd normally hear us practicing a few covers or running through our original tunes.

      • Drummer Wanted Poster, circa 1990
        11/19/07
I'm not sure why I held onto this. I'm assuming I had this copy because it didn't print too well and so I didn't hang it up. I'm also assuming the poor print job had to do with the dot matrix printer that spit this out. You can actually see each separate row of ink printe

        11/18/07
Well Bram suggested I make the original Dewitt source material from the Dewitt Sings album available to all of Dewitt's fans. So here ya go. This is all of the messages that we had, some of which were not used in their entirety.

      • Humping Hobos and Yuengling Bottles Demo
        11/15/07
You may not believe this but there was a demo for the classic Dewitt tirade ditty "Humping Hobos and Yuengling Bottles." Since I was on the receiving end of the phone calls, I threw this together as a sample of how I imagined the song would go and emailed it along with the messages to Bra

      • sighing song - original recording
        11/15/07
since we're reliving the glory days, here's the first song ever recorded featuring goss, bram and justice (the current members of the band). this little beauty was recorded on a regular speed tascam 4-track. old hat to bram, but cutting edge technology for goss and justice.

        11/15/07
1990 Does Cows (Bone Sauce). I know you'd think a photo where we're all posing with sunglasses on would make us look cool, but somehow we missed the mark.

Look who's sportin' an original Does Cows Tee from 1990.

There may be a few more out there but this is the only one I know of. And I am surprised this one made it as far as it has. (Check out the worn collar and yellow pits.)

      • Bonesauce Cover Design by Bram
        11/14/07
As we are preparing to place the BS discography online, I've been discovering some tapes made for friends or fans only.

Below is a BS tape sleeve from around 1991 that Bram mixed for a friend to listen to.

The sleeve is chock full of interesting tidbits, such

        11/12/07
The guitarist asked me to post some old shots of the band playing live, instead of lame shots of us rock posturing for the camera. (Look for more of those in the near future.) Anyway here's a shot of us rocking out on stage at Penn State.

        11/10/07
During the recording of Chimp Jerk Fling (CJF), I was asked to contribute a song (with actual music) to the sessions. I hadn't written music for a song since If I Ran The Circus, so I figured why not? The demo I recorded, which at the time I titled Ringo's Song, later became Silent Screa

regular visitors of bone sauce may have noticed we recently added google ads. what's the deal? is bone sauce selling out? no, not at all. it's actually a clever effort to drive more visitors to the site so that they too can enjoy the wonderful world of bone sauce.

      • Rare Alternate Dewitt Sings The Songs Of Bone Sauce Cover
        11/06/07
I know how beloved the CD booklet for Dewitt Sings The Songs of Bone Sauce is, but that design was one of two options. Of course, the band went for the infamous cover that you know today. But the other cover was never before seen by our public... until now that is.

      • Lyrical Download -- This Guy's A Wino
        11/06/07
I know this song is under production (as BS is crafting its newest release as I write), but our producer asked me what I am a singing at one point. So I decided to post the lyrics for all our fans, and by fans I mean all three of ya. You know who you are.

      • enjoy the fog
        11/04/07
enjoy the fog is one of my favorite recent bone sauce tunes, but the origins of that song title are a little unsettling. you see, after several nights of consuming many beers and much bad food, a certain member of the band tends to emit an unpleasant 'fog.'

        so while the song may

      • Better band name than Bone Sauce?
        11/02/07
Ticondaroga Wallop. To be said as follows:

        1. Stretch out the ticonda, like so: Tiicoooonda
        2. Emphasize the roga, like this: ROGA
        3. Quickly say wallop.

Almost beat out Bone Sauce, which lost to Pounding Fish Eye, which then lost to BoneSauce.
